DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Embry-Riddle Athletics has announced a new networking opportunity for its current and former student-athletes with the introduction of the Embry-Riddle Varsity Club. The mission of the Varsity Club is to provide an organization where former ERAU letterwinners, coaches and support staff can continue the legacy, tradition and values that come from being a member of the Embry-Riddle Athletics program. The Varsity Club will also provide a new way to bridge the gap between current student-athletes and the ERAU alumni that helped pave the way for them.
"As a former Embry-Riddle student-athlete myself, I'm excited to get the Varsity Club up and running," ERAU Associate Athletics Director
John Phillips (Baseball, Class of 1992) said. "Even though our athletic program is less than 25 years old, we have already established a great tradition of success here at Embry-Riddle. I encourage all my former teammates to get involved with the Varsity Club. It's a great way to reconnect with ERAU and also a great way to help grow our athletic program."
The Varsity Club will provide its members with opportunities to attend special events with former teammates and current student-athletes, coaches and staff, as well as contribute to programs that promote and support student-athletes at Embry-Riddle through scholarships, program incentives and networking opportunities.
In an effort to make the campaign as successful as possible, Varsity Club organizers have identified specific goals to help the program move forward. These goals include building a dedicated alumni base, raising money to support current student-athletes and programs and establishing networking programs where current student-athletes can seek advice and alumni can reunite and stay connected.
All contributions to the Varsity Club are tax deductible and 100% of all contributions will go directly to the specified sport. ERAU Athletics alumni can join the Varsity Club by downloading this
