Kenny Holmberg Walk-Off Eliminates Lewis-Clark State from 2004 NAIA World Series
In 2004, the Embry-Riddle baseball team made it's third straight trip to the NAIA World Series. The second-ranked team in the country, the Eagles lost their first game, but stayed alive in the double elimination tournament with a 15-5 win over Concordia (Calif.) in the second. On their third day of play, the Eagles went up against host and two-time defending national champion Lewis-Clark State. Both teams faced elimination in that game and in the bottom of the ninth, junior Kenny Holmberg hit a walk-off single to left field to score the winning run.
