Volleyball's Pagan and McBride Earn Spots on South Region All-Tournament Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. - A pair of Eagles were awarded for their postseason efforts on Monday. Gabriela Pagan and Jaden McBride were named to the NCAA II South Region's All-Tournament Team after helping the Eagles defeat No. 5 seed Florida Tech 3-1 and then nearly toppling top-seeded Lynn in five sets. 

It's Pagan's first athletic award of her collegiate career, and it's well deserved. The junior commanded the back row with 45 digs over two matches last weekend, including a stand-out 30-dig performance against the Fighting Knights. It was a single-match career-high in digs for the Longwood, Florida native. Additionally, it was the most digs in a match by an Eagle in 2024 and tied for the fourth-most by a Sunshine State Conference student-athlete this year. Pagan also tallied 11 assists in the regional. 

For McBride, it's her third award of the season after picking up All-Region and All-Conference honors. In nine sets over two matches, the senior racked up 31 kills, 39 digs, six blocks and six aces. McBride played a strong defensive match in ERAU's 3-1 win over Florida Tech, posting a team-high 19 digs. Then against Lynn, she led the attack with 16 kills and three aces while also recording 20 digs and five blocks.
