MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2025 men's cross country preseason poll on Wednesday, placing Embry-Riddle third in the rankings, including one first-place vote.
After securing a third-place finish at the 2024 SSC Cross Country Championship, the Eagles garnered 67 points in the preseason voting. They trail projected repeat champion Florida Southern (81) and Tampa (69) by narrow margins.
Florida Tech (51) and Palm Beach Atlantic (48) round out the top five in the poll.
Embry-Riddle returns key contributors in Nicholas Scarangelli, who placed sixth at last year's SSC Championship, and Andrew Stowe, a 2023 SSC All-Conference Team honoree. Embry-Riddle will hit the course for the first time on Sept. 6 in Lakeland.
