DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Several Embry-Riddle student-athletes were honored on Monday for their performances over the last week, capturing honors in both the Sunshine State Conference and the Peach Belt Conference
Softball
Olivia Dougherty was named the pitcher of the week for her standout performances last week. She made four appearances and earned three wins across 14.1 innings pitched, posting a 0.98 ERA. Dougherty allowed just two runs on 12 hits during the week. She totaled 19 strikeouts, highlighted by two games with seven strikeouts in wins over Wilmington and Assumption.
The native of Norwalk, Iowa leads the team with 58 strikeouts, which ranks third in the SSC. So far this season she has recorded a 2.50 ERA and a 4-5 record in the circle on 12 appearances and seven starts, totaling 56.0 innings pitched.

Women's Track and Field
Alexandra Baltazar Hall earned her first Peach Belt Conference Field Athlete of the Week honor of the outdoor season and the first of her career as an Eagle. Baltazar Hall finished second overall in the discus throw at the ERAU Eagle Invite.
Her throw of 46.89m reached the NCAA II outdoor track and field provisional standard and moved her into second all-time in Embry-Riddle history. Only one other Eagle has thrown farther in program history.

Men's Track and Field
Mason Briggs earned his first Peach Belt Conference honor of the outdoor season after throwing a personal-best 62.96m in the javelin. His mark placed him second overall at the ERAU Eagle Invite and earned a spot on the NCAA II outdoor track and field provisional list.
The sophomore standout now sits second on the Embry-Riddle all-time list, trailing only Ryan Flournoy.
Taye Newman also earned conference recognition, being named SSC Distance Athlete of the Week. Newman competed in both the 800m and 1500m, winning each event.
The freshman phenom ran times of 1:53.75 in the 800m and 3:56.17 in the 1500m, setting himself up for a strong outdoor season.
Women's Rowing
The women's rowing team had their Varsity 8+ boat be named as the SSC Boat of the Week after they finished the 2000 meter race at the Rollins Invitational with a time of 7:06.1. Embry-Riddle beat both Rollins and Barry in the race, as the Eagles completed their first regular season race of the season.
The crew of the Varsity 8+ included Reese Franqueiro, Priscilla Aleksic, Anna Martin, Eve Downs, Abby Webb, Soleil Edwards, Gracie Thompson, Lauren Hoffman, and Aria Moses.
