ST. PETERSBURG, FLA.--Jessica Garcia's goal with 3:14 remaining in the second overtime lifted the ERAU women's soccer team to their fourth straight win over NCAA Division II Eckerd College on Sunday.

After dominating play for much of the second half and first overtime, Garcia scored the game winner on a pass to the middle from Kristen Phelps, and slotted it past Eckerd goalie Melinda Montano.

"I saw Kristen running down the sideline, and I tried to get at a good angle for a pass. The defender got to the ball first - I saw that she was going to clear it, and I jumped in front of her cross and blocked it, and I put it in the net," said Garcia, who needs just two more points to become ERAU's all-time leading scorer.

The Eagles, who outshot the Tritons 16-4, were stymied time and again by Montano, who finished with 15 saves and snuffed bids from Valerie Rogers and Katrina Morgan late in the first overtime.

"Even when you're the better team, sometimes you just have to grind it out, and that's what we did tonight," said head coach Dan Blank, whose team has yet to give up a goal this season.

ERAU goalie Stephanie Taylor finished with four saves.

The Eagles will be off until Sept. 14, when they will begin a five game homestand, beginning with Rollins College.
