KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Junior transfer Danny Deaver led the Eagles with 17 of his team leading 20 points in the second half, to give Embry-Riddle a 113-55 win over Florida Christian College on Monday, November 12.
The Eagles jumped to a quick 14-0 lead, holding the Suns scoreless through the first five minutes and 20 seconds. The Suns began to light their fire as they cut the Eagles lead to ten at 27-17. ERAU shot just 23.5 percent from beyond the arc in the first half, hitting just four of their 17 attempts.
After leading by eleven at halftime the Eagles scored a quick nine points in the first two minutes of the second half to jump to a 20 point lead. ERAU went up by thirty with 9:21 left to play and continued to increase their lead as the non-starters entered the game scoring 53 of the team's 113 points.
Deaver came off the bench to play eleven minutes in the second half, shooting 100 percent hitting six of six attempts from deep in the field, going seven for seven on the day. He also marked eight rebounds. Sophomore Eric Lorenzi led the team in rebounds with nine. Both Lorenzi and Tyler Debord marked one point less than Deaver, with 19. Ryan Christian and Rocky Pierre also made the list of double-digit scorers for the Eagles as they had 14 and 12, respectively. Freshman Danny Krazit dished out a team leading six assists, five to Deaver in the second half.
Embry-Riddle's trip to Florida Christian began a four game road trip for the team, they will travel to Trinity College on Monday, November 19. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
