Eagles Clinch Regular Season Title with 3-0 Win Over Tigers

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Embry-Riddle Eagles' volleyball team clinched its second Sun Conference regular season title by defeating the Edward Waters Tigers this afternoon at the ICI Center in three quick sets, moving their conference record to a perfect 17-0, the best in Eagles' volleyball history. 

The Eagles' serving highlighted the match, as 20 aces were recorded by the Blue and Gold. Jordan Holcomb led all servers with a career-high six aces, while Taylor Martin, Lauren Anastase and Samantha Savallo tallied four apiece, marking a career-high for both Anastase and Savallo.

Taylor Martin led all hitters with 11 kills in only two sets played, while Senior Kristen Hassett dished out 29 assists in the win. The Eagles combined for a .408 hitting percentage for the match, recording 35 kills and only six errors. Savallo and Hannah Rasmussen split time wearing the libero jersey and combined for nine digs.

The Eagles will round out regular season play Saturday, Nov. 7 against the Southeastern Fire in Daytona Beach for Senior Night before hosting The Sun Conference tournament on Nov. 13-14.
