@ERAUMSoccer Bested by Barry, 3-0

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Embry-Riddle men's soccer team came up short on Saturday, falling to the Barry Buccaneers by a 3-0 score. With the loss, the Eagles fall to 1-2 on the year, while Barry improves to 4-0-1.

The Bucs outshout ERAU 24-11 on the night and put 12 shots on frame against the Eagles' three.

Moriba Ballah led the team with three shots and Jeff Bone was active in net, making nine saves in the losing effort

Barry got on the board early as Patrick Drmbola put home a cross from Thomas Coombes in the seventh minute for the game's first goal. The home team doubled its lead in the 30th minute as Coombes and Drmbola reversed roles with Coombes slotting home his fourth goal of the year.

The Eagles looked to be the better side early in the second half, taking five of the first six shots in the period. Despite the pressure, Barry took advantage of a turnover and Sergio Yepes scored to make it a 3-0 game in the 58th minute, which accounted for the final score.

The Blue and Gold will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 23 for a road contest at Nova Southeastern. The game is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
