ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle softball team dropped a game to Eckerd on Friday night, 14-1.
Gabriella Obia singled to score the Eagles lone run of the night. The Eagles are now 30-13 on the year while Eckerd improves to 27-21-1.

Alice Donohoe got her first career start as an Eagle in the circle. The Tritons were able to draw out a quick 3-0 edge before
Robi Zimmerman came into pitch.
The Tritons were able to increase their lead to 14-0 over the next two innings.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Eagles got the offense going as Zimmerman led off with a double to right center field. A few batters later, Obia was able to single to right field, allowing Zimmerman to score.
The Eagles denied the Tritons of a run in the bottom half of the inning, giving up just a single.
Kassidy Simons had an infield hit in the bottom of the fifth but the Eagles were unable to make a comeback, falling 14-1.
Raquelli Bianco also had a hit in the game, a single to left center to lead off the game.
Embry-Riddle finishes out the series against Eckerd tomorrow, April 23 with a doubleheader starting at 1pm.
