FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - For the second straight day, Emmanuel won a back-and-forth game against the Embry-Riddle baseball team, 9-8. The Eagles (9-13) led early and tied it late, but the Lions (11-13) had no problems with the ERAU pitching staff, collecting 16 hits en route to the win.
Kyle Guttveg started the game with a bang, homering for the second time in as many days to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead in the first, and the visitors added a run on a
Justin Franklin sac fly, scoring
Kyle Marsh.

Alex Dodd singled to left, scoring
Jake Malone for a 3-0 Blue and Gold lead.
The Lions got a lone run in the second before both teams were blanked in the third. Crouse was chased in the fourth as the Lions plated four runs on six hits to take a 5-3 lead before
Matthew Russell got the final out in the inning.
ERAU got a run closer in the fourth when
Zach Howard scored via a passed ball and
Luis Olivier gave the Eagles their biggest moment of the day with a three-run bomb in the sixth, regaining the lead for ERAU at 7-5.
A solo Lion homer in the bottom of the with made it a one-run game and after ERAU went 1-2-3 in the top of the seventh Emmanuel capitalized on a passed ball and two-out single to go in front, 8-7.
Marsh briefly tied the game in the eighth with a single to center, bringing in Guttveg. But a walk, followed by a double in the last of the inning pushed the home team back in front for good.
Marsh collected four hits in five at-bats, scoring three runs, while Olivier's three RBIs were a game-high.
ERAU will conclude its series with Emmanuel tomorrow at 1 p.m.
