DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Embry-Riddle women's basketball team turned in a convincing performance in their first exhibition game of the season on Sunday, defeating Thomas (Ga.) 86-29 at the ICI Center.
The Eagles averaged at least 21 points in each quarter and were 42.9 percent (30-of-70) from the field and 39.3 percent (11-of-28) from long range. Of the 11 Eagle players that made their way into the scoring column, three scored in double digits.
Nikki Tucker led the way with 20 points, while
Sydney Jones and
Rachel Murray added 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Eagles will play one more exhibition game before the start of regular season play. That game will take place on Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. against Eastern Florida State at the ICI Center.
