Men's Soccer Defeated 4-1 by Lynn

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Embry-Riddle men's soccer suffered a road loss on Saturday night, falling 4-1 to the Lynn Fighting Knights in Boca Raton, Florida.

ERAU (3-9-2, 0-8-1 Sunshine State Conference) was never in the lead as LU (9-2-4, 4-2-4 SSC) led for the final 82 minutes of the match.

Lynn opened the scoring early, with a goal just over eight minutes into the game gave them a 1-0 lead.

The Fighting Knights doubled their lead later on in the first half, as a 37th minute goal made the score 2-0.

This gave LU the lead going into halftime, outshootung ERAU 6-1 through the first 45 minutes.

Five minutes into the second half the Eagles scored, as junior midfielder/forward Sandro Henning slotted it past the goalkeeper on a one-on-one opportunity to cut the Lynn lead in half, with sophomore midfielder/forward Tom Shepherd on the assist.

LU would restore their two-goal lead however, with a 62nd minute goal making it 3-1.

The Fighting Knights weren't done yet, going up 4-1 with a 70th minute goal.

This scoreline held, giving Lynn their fourth conference win of the season.

Overall, Lynn led in shots by a tally of 14 to four, while also leading in shots on goal by five to two.

Embry-Riddle returns home for Senior Night, facing the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Friday, Nov, 3. Kickoff at the Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium is set for 5 p.m.
