Brooks Hits Career High as Eagles Rout Panthers 83-51

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle Women's Basketball returned to Sunshine State Conference play with a decisive 83-51 defeat of Florida Tech, Wednesday at the ICI Center.
 
All 13 available players played significant minutes for the Eagles on Wednesday and 12 of the 13 featured in the scoring column. Madyson Jean-Louis was the Eagles' leading scorer with 13 points. Chandler Brooks turned in one of the best performances of her career, going 6-of-8 from the floor for a career-high 12 points to go with five assists and a career-best seven rebounds.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Eagles scored the first points of the game and used a 10-0 run to open a 19-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
• The Eagle defense held the Panthers without a basket for the first six minutes of the quarter
Sarah Napoli's only three of the night punctuated a 13-0 run that extended the Eagle lead to 24 points (32-8) at the 5:12 mark of the second quarter.
• Florida Tech managed to outscore ERAU 11-7 in the closing minutes of the first half.
• Embry-Riddle led 39-17 at the half.
• The third quarter was close with the Eagles holding a 23-20 edge in scoring.
• The Eagles were 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the field in the third and took a 67-32 lead into the final 10 minutes.
Alyssa Brasko played all 10 minutes in the fourth quarter going 4-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from long range to tally 10 points.
• Florida Tech managed just five made field goals in the final frame and were 5-of-15 from the field
• The Eagles led by as many as 34 points in the fourth quarter.
 
NOTES
• Embry-Riddle is now 3-0 in SSC play and is the only undefeated team in the league at 8-0.
• Florida Tech drops to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in league play.
• Embry-Riddle made a season-best 35 field goals.
• The Eagles' 32-point win is their second-highest scoring margin this season.

The Eagles will take a break for finals before returning to action for a home game against Saint Leo on Dec. 14.
