Daytona Beach, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle women's cross country team returned home for its second meet of the season and delivered a statement performance, sweeping the top three spots and placing all runners inside the top 20 to claim its first win of the year.
Taylor Roth and freshman Cristina Soto pushed the pace from the start, with Roth breaking away on the second loop to win in 19:22.7, 19 seconds clear of the field. Behind them, a chase pack of Eagles formed as Emily Tubbs (19:53.7), Zara Zervos (20:04.1) and Charlotte O'Brien (20:06.1) rounded out the scoring.
The win marked ERAU's first at the Embry-Riddle Cross Country Classic since 2019. Tubbs, who was ninth for the team at the season opener, surged to third overall on Saturday—an encouraging sign for a young squad with growing depth.
