Embry-Riddle swept by North Georgia in home-opener series

Embry-Riddle falls in game three against North Georgia in 9-6 loss

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Eagles revealed their new black jerseys and braved the icy wind-chill at Sliwa Stadium to take on the North Georgia Nighthawks in game three of their home-opener series. The Nighthawks jumped to an early lead but the Eagles were hot on their tails. Ultimately, North Georgia managed to pull away in the later innings to secure a three-run difference.

Starters Aiden Schmidt, Aidan Corn, and Derek Lopez led the way for the Eagles bats with two-hits apiece. Jack Beyl kicked up the dirt on the base path coming around to score two of the Eagles' six runs.
