DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Varsity Eight boat for Embry-Riddle women's rowing was named the SSC Boat of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday afternoon, following their pair of races at the Stetson Showdown this weekend.
ERAU's Varsity 8+ finished in third place during their first race of Saturday's event with a time of 7:19.4, and followed that performance up in the afternoon with a runner-up finish of 7:17.7 in the 2,000-meter event. The Eagles were the top Division II boat in both races.
Throughout the past two weeks, the Blue and Gold have earned an average time of 7:14 from their 1V8+, as they continue to prepare for the state championships on March 28 in Sarasota, Florida.
