Heartbreak in Daytona as the Eagles Fall 10-9 to No. 2 Tampa

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle baseball team battled on a beautiful Friday night, rallying from a five-run deficit in the fourth inning to take a two-run lead heading into the seventh. However, a four-run seventh inning by the Spartans, along with a controversial call with the bases loaded in the bottom half, proved to be the difference as the score remained unchanged over the final two innings.

Tampa remains perfect in Sunshine State Conference play, and the Eagles will get another shot at snapping that streak Saturday morning in game two of the series.
