Men’s Soccer Boasts Best GPA in Division II and Earns Team Academic Award for 2025-26

| By:
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Embry-Riddle men's soccer has earned national recognition from United Soccer Coaches as one of the nation's top academic programs, posting a 3.74 team GPA, the highest among NCAA Division II programs recognized in the organization's College Team Academic Awards.

The Eagles' GPA not only ranked first among NCAA Division II programs but also tied for sixth nationally among the 336 recognized men's soccer programs across all NCAA and NAIA divisions. In addition, ERAU's academic achievement surpassed every NCAA Division I program recognized, marking the second time in program history that the Eagles have led their division academically.

The United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award honors programs that posted a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale for the entire 2025-26 academic year.

Embry-Riddle's success in the classroom was reflected throughout the season. Men's soccer posted 10 student-athletes in the fall with a 4.0 term GPA in the fall and 11 in the spring term. ERAU men's soccer also posted five student-athletes on the CSC Academic All-District Team as well as 19 on the Sunshine State Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The athletes included on the CSC Academic All-District roster last November were Colin Bailey, Matteo Moreno Madrid, Andy Paterson, Tom Shepherd, and Kaden Stoddard. To be eligible for that recognition, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have played in at least 90% of their team's contests from the current season.
