DADE CITY, Fla. — After 36 holes, Embry-Riddle men's golf stands eighth in the field at the 2026 Regional Preview at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.
The Eagles recorded a two-round total of 562 (-14) with rounds of 284 (-4) and 278 (-10).
Ryan Gear paced ERAU at six-under with a total score of 138, tied for 14th individually, including a 6-under 66 in the second round.
Gear opened with even-par 72 and followed with a 66 (-6) in the second round, a new collegiate career-low and the first Eagle to shoot a 66 since Tiago Barni in 2023. Since then, only two Eagles have shot a 66 or better in a single round. Gear is tied fourth in par-5 scoring at 6-under and an average score of 4.25.
Roan Smith tied for 27th with a total three-under 141 after rounds of 70 (-2) and 71 (-1). After two rounds, Smith is tied for third in par-4 scoring at 5-under with an average score of 3.75.
Ian Ball tied for 33rd at 142 (-2), posting an even-par 72 before a two-under 70 in the second round. Ball leads the tournament in total pars with 30.
Rounding out the Eagles are
Rafa Guerrero and
Edoardo Scialanga at T-64th with scores of 148 (+4) followed by
Christian Molina at T-68th with a total score of 151 (+7).
The Eagles finish the day ranked third in par-4 scoring at one-over and an average score of 4.01. ERAU has posted 41 birdies through 36 holes and has tallied 137 pars with
Christian Molina adding an eagle.
