As a Junior in 2008: Played in 14 games, drawing six starts…Eagles went 6-2-3 with Bergstrand in the nets…tallied four shutouts on the season, three of which were in conference play…allowed 17 goals in 1,271 minutes…collected 64 total saves and posted a 1.20 goals against average…grabbed a season-high 13 saves against Mobile (Sept. 19)…surrendered just one goal on 14 Auburn-Montgomery shot attempts in the Eagles’ upset of the top-ranked Senators (Sept. 20)…named The Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22…tallied 10 saves against NCAA II Lynn, three of which were one-on-one attacks…finished the season with a .790 save percentage…named to The Sun Conference second team.

As A Sophomore in 2007: Started in six games…Eagles went 2-2-2 with Bergstrand in the nets…forced to sit out the majority of the season due to injury…allowed 11 goals in 545 minutes between the pipes…hauled in 26 saves and posted a 1.02 goals against average…notched his only shutout of the season in 90 minutes against Warner Southern (Sept. 18)…recorded a season-high eight saves in a 2-2 tie with Flagler (Sept. 4).

As A Freshman in 2006: Stepped in as the Eagles’ starting goalkeeper in 13 games…grabbed 32 saves for a .681 save percentage…posted a 9-4 record and allowed just 15 goals in 1170 minutes between the pipes…finished his freshman campaign with three shutouts and a 1.15 goals against average…recorded shutouts against Nova Southeastern (Aug. 27), Warner Southern (Oct. 3), and Webber International (Nov. 1)…second team All-Florida Sun Conference.

Prep: Graduated from Malmo Borgarskola in 2006…played for the IFK Malmo club team from 1994-2006… also played four seasons with Malmo FF…played six matches as a member of the Swedish Under-18 national team.

Personal: Born in Malmo, Sweden on Jan. 14, 1987…son of Niclas and Karin Bergstrand…spent the summer teaching handicapped kids to play soccer…majoring in Aviation Business Administration.
