Biography
AT LOUSVILLE: Competed for the University of Louisville in 2010-11 and 2011-12…high jumped during the indoor and outdoor seasons…won the high jump at the Border Battle…took second at the Cardinal Twilight…was runner-up five other times during the indoor season, including the BIG EAST Indoor Championships…won the BIG EAST Outdoor title with a high jump of 2.13m…advanced to the NCAA I East Preliminary Round in the event…cleared personal best of 2.20m at Indiana in the 2012 season opener, the second-best high jump in Louisville history…placed second at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships…won the Tennessee Relays and took second at the Border Battle with jumps of 2.15m at both events.
AT ALABAMA: Attended the University of Alabama from 2008-10…utilized a redshirt for the 2008-09 season…during redshirt season, finished fifth at the English National Championships (2.10m) and ninth at the European Junior Championships (2.11m)…competed in the high jump during the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2009-10…won the event at the Southern Invitational…placed second at the Sea Ray Relays and third at the Alabama Relays with jumps of 2.10m at both meets…took sixth at the SEC Indoor Championships…placed second at the LSU Invitational after clearing 2.16m, the seventh-best all-time indoor high jump mark at Alabama…finished seventh at the SEC Outdoor Championships.
PREP: 2008 graduate of Poinciana High School…named the 2008 Orlando Sentinel Boys’ Athlete of the Year…won district and regional titles in 2008…captured the FHSAA Class 4A State Championship in the high jump in 2006…still holds the county record for the high jump…also played football and basketball at PHS.
