2016: Went 7-3 with a 5.42 ERA in 19 games, including 14 starts...led the team with 79.2 innings of work, striking out 42 batters...threw five shutout innings with six strikeouts in a win against Florida Memorial (Feb. 6)...got the win in 7.1 innings against Palm Beach Atlantic (Jan. 30), allowing just one run with three strikeouts...recorded a complete-game, one-run win versus Eckerd (April 10)...tossed 7.1 innings against West Florida (March 15) on the road, allowing one run en route to the win.

2015: Made two starts in February before utilizing a redshirt due to injury.

2013-14 at Florida State: Two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll member...made 17 appearances in two seasons for the Seminoles...secured the win in a FSU victory against NC State (March 15, 2014), pitching two innings while stirking out three batters.

Prep: 2012 graduate of Trinity Christian Academy where he played four years of baseball…member of the 2009, 2010 and 2012 FHSAA State Championship team.

Personal: Born in Sanford, Florida...son of Duane and Brenda Burkhead...majoring in Business Administration.
