2020: Pitched in eight games with seven starts...registered a 2.91 ERA in 34.0 innings of work...struck out a team-high 42 batters...went seven frames against Felician (March 7), holding them to one earned run while fanning a career-high 12 batters...struck out nine batters in six innings at Valdosta State (Feb. 1)...SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient.

2019: Registered five win in 78.1 innings of work...appeared in 15 games, starting 14 contests...struck out 68 batters...had five quality starts...went seven innings, holding No. 3 Columbus State (Feb. 8) to one run on one hit with seven Ks...had an eight-inning start against Florida Tech (March 24), allowing just two runs on three hits with six strikeouts...helped the Eagles sweep No. 1 Tampa (April 6), going seven frames, allowing one earned run.

2017-18 at Louisburg: Played for two seasons with the Hurricanes...earned second team All-Region accolades in 2018 with a 4.03 ERA and 8-3 record...struck out 75 batters in 60.1 innings as a sophomore.

Prep: Graduated in 2016 from Topsail High School...played for coach Granville Gehris...posted varsity ERA of 1.16 with a 14-1 record in 102.1 innings...named a first team All-County, first team All-Conference and first team All-State honoree as a senior.

Personal: Born in Charlotte, North Carolina...son of Harriet and Colin Rice...father Colin swam at Akron...uncle Phil Farris was a member of the Denver Broncos and Green Bay Packers...majoring in Aeronautical Science.
