ERAU Soccer Stadium

The Embry-Riddle soccer stadium is the home of Embry-Riddle soccer and is regarded as one of the premier soccer facilities at the NCAA Division II level.

Embry-Riddle invested in a major upgrade to the soccer complex prior to hosting the 2005 NAIA Men's Soccer National tournament and the results were a tremendously positive impact for the event, as well as both of the Eagle soccer programs. A completely new grandstand increased the seating from 350 to 1,000 with approximately 200 chair-back seats. An adjacent spectator amenities building at the east end of the field houses restrooms, a concession stand, ticket booth and storage area.

The press box, which doubled in size as part of the upgrades, is available to media and visiting sports information personnel. It features a camera deck for video taping and photography. Phone lines for working media and internet access are located in the press box and in the ICI Center adjacent to the soccer stadium.

The facility's best feature is, arguably, the playing surface, which is 120-by-70 yards. Spearheaded by Southeastern Turf Grass Supply out of Jacksonville, in close cooperation with the Embry-Riddle Grounds Department, the field was renovated in early 2005 with the addition of new sub-surface growing medium that allowed the Bermuda turf to root more deeply and be highly wear-resistant. The surface hosted full regular season home schedules for Embry-Riddle's men's and women's soccer programs, and was in top shape throughout the 19-game national tournaments in 2005 and 2006. Truly one of the premier natural turf soccer complexes in the nation, the venue provides a very safe, more durable field of play and is very fan-friendly.

The Embry-Riddle Soccer Stadium has been the site of numerous non-athletic events, including the annual Air Force ROTC Pass In Review and various military retirement ceremonies. It has also been the venue for new student orientation activities.
