Reta Woodard won the first field national championship in Embry-Riddle track & field history in the spring of 2012 with a dominating performance in the indoor weight throw in Geneva, Ohio at the NAIA Indoor National Championships. A native of Spring Hill, Fla., Woodard easily won the event with a school-record mark of 18.50m, 0.68m further than the second-place finisher. Woodard helped the Eagles to a fourth-place finish at the national meet, the team's best-ever finish.

As a junior, Woodard doubled her national title total with the outdoor hammer throw crown, taking home top honors with a meet record distance of 61.67m. Woodard's record throw broke a mark that stood for four years.

In 2014, Woodard again doubled up on her national crowns with a pair of titles, the first coming indoors with a weight throw championship after a throw of 18.89m in Geneva, Ohio, becoming the second three-time NAIA national champion in Embry-Riddle history.

Woodard wasn't done at three titles however, claiming the 2014 outdoor hammer throw championship in Gulf Shores, Ala. Woodard's throw of 55.46m secured her fourth national championship as she became ERAU's first four-time NAIA National Championship winner.
