Ukeyvia Beckwith made Embry-Riddle Athletics history on May 27, 2023. The senior from Orlando, Florida became the first ERAU student-athlete to win a national title in the Eagles' Division II era, winning the 800m title at the NCAA II Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Beckwith entered as the favorite to win the event with the fastest time of the season in NCAA II. After cruising to second place in Friday’s preliminary round, Beckwith, racing out of lane eight took control of the lead at the 400-meter mark and never looked back. She won the race in 2:06.73, more than a second ahead of the second-place finisher to bring the first NCAA II title back to Daytona Beach.
