Biography

As a Junior in 2009: Finished the season 11-2 with three complete games and only 13 walks in 87.0 innings of work...made 16 appearances with 14 starts during the 2009 campaign...posted a 9-0 record with three no decisions in his last 12 starts ...went 5-1 in conference play...threw a nine-inning complete game at St. Thomas (Apr. 18) giving up only one run and four hits...also threw a nine -inning complete game, allowing two earned runs and striking out five batters in a 6-3 win over South Carolina-Beaufort (Mar. 21)...threw a  seven-inning, one-hit shutout with four strikeouts in an 8-0 win over St. Xavier (Mar. 2)...picked up win No. 11 by surrendering only two runs in 6.2 innings of work against Union (Ky.) (May 13) in the winners bracket championship game of the NAIA National Championship Opening Round...averaged only 1.34 walks per nine innings  and forced hitters to hit into nine double plays on the year...named to The Sun Conference Academic All-Conference team and was recognized as a Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete...an Embry-Riddle Champions of Character Scholarship recipient...played for the DeLand Suns of the Florida Collegiate Summer League under former major league manager Davey Johnson...finished the summer with a 2-1 record and a 3.74 era in 19 innings pitched...had 17 strikeouts to only one walk while opponents hit .247 against him and lefties hit a dismal .188...named to the Florida Collegiate Summer League All-Star team.

Brevard CC: A two-year letterwinner at BCC...served as the workhorse of the pitching staff...threw 99 innings, struck out 70 and gave up only 20 walks in 2008...had a 4.05 ERA with a 3-5 record in 14 starts in 2008...threw 85 innings with a 4-5 record in 16 starts in 2007...tallied 60 strikeouts and allowed 13 walks with a 3.61 ERA...an Academic All-Conference member in 2007 and 2008.

Prep: A 2005 graduate of Astronaut High School where he earned three letters under Head Coach Dwayne Jones...served as the team's captain in 2004 and 2005...honored as second team All-Cape Coast Conference selection in 2005...member of the Honorable Mention All-Cape Coast Conference team in 2004...selected for the team's 110% award in 2004 and 2005...graduated in the top-five percent of his graduating class...member of the National Honor Society.
