2008 at Seminole State CC: Spent one season playing for the Raiders…pitched 25.0 innings with a 1.98 ERA and 32 strikeouts.
 
Prep: 2007 graduate of nearby Seabreeze High School…played for former Embry-Riddle baseball player Joey Golinski and the Sand Crabs for four seasons…hit .308 with three home runs his senior season…sported a 2.86 ERA and 4-1 record in 28.0 innings pitches…struck out 36 batters in 2007.
 
Personal: Born in Ormond Beach, Fla. on Aug. 17, 1989…son of Karen and Bill Hood…uncle Ricky Clarke played in the Montreal Expos’ organization…majoring in Communications.
