2012: Hit .265 with 26 hits in 42 games as a sophomore...started in 23 games, mostly at second base...scored 26 runs and collected 22 RBIs...his best game came against Aquinas  (Mar. 8) when he went 4-for-6 with five RBIs and three runs scored...collected six hits total in back-to-back games against Indiana Tech (Mar. 10) and Northwestern Ohio (Mar. 11).

2011: Used primarily as the courtesy runner and late-inning defensive replacement...recorded two hits in 24 at-bats...scored 32 runs in 51 games played...was a perfect 9-for-9 stealing bases.

Prep: 2010 graduate of Pedro Menendez High School…honored with the Falcon MVP Award, as well as honorable mention St. John’s Conference All-Decade team…two-time All-Conference first team selection...twice named to the first team All-District roster…two-time All-County first team honoree…committed just two errors in four years as a starting shortstop…played on an AAU National Championship squad under Coach Dan Withum.

Personal: Born in Lancaster, Calif. on July 2, 1991…son of Debra and Luis Romero…majoring in Business Administration...brother Avery was selected in the third round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the Miami Marlins.
