Biography

2013: Named a second team All-Sun Conference performer...started in all 65 of the Eagles’ games in centerfield...hit .265 with 65 hits, including 12 doubles, a team-high five triples and three home runs...drove in 30 runs and scored a team-high 50 runs...nearly perfect on the bases with a 32-for-33 clip...drove in three runs in three separate games and stole three bases in two different contests.

2011-12 at Polk State: Spent two seasons with the Eagles...averaged .315 from the plate, helping his team win the state title as a sophomore.

Prep: 2010 graduate of Auburndale High School where he played for coaches Tom Taylor, Matt Maloney and Greg Deese.

Personal: Born in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 2, 1991...parents are Carla Murphy and Dennis Chastain...majoring in Homeland Security.
