Prep: 2006 graduate of Westwood High School...played three years for coach Bart Bratcher...team MVP in both his junior and senior seasons...named Newcomer of the Year in 2004...two-time All-District Academic team selection...team Gold Glove winner as a junior...hit for a .345 batting average in his senior seasons...played four years on the Texas Wings club team...hit .465 in 2003, .545 in 2004, .625 in 2005 and .440 in 2006.
