As A Sophomore in 2005: Made 19 appearances with 10 starts...posted 4-2 record with a 2.44 earned run average...tossed 59.0 innings, struck out 46 batters and yielded 15 walks...threw a season-high seven innings against Florida College (Feb. 21)...recorded six strikeouts each against NAIA World Series qualifier Aquinas (Mar. 11), Grand View (Mar. 16) and Huntington (Mar. 22)...recipient of the Kenneth Sliwa Memorial Scholarship, presented annually to a baseball player who leads his team through his example of academic commitment, tenacity work ethic, enthusiasm, selflessness and hustle.
As a Freshman in 2004: Ended the season undefeated at 6-0 with a 2.96 ERA in 17 appearances...drew seven starts and threw one complete game...struck out 51 batters in 45.2 innings of work...batters hit only .186 against him...pitched a four-hit, one-run complete game with 10 strikeouts against Olivet Nazarene (Mar. 12)...tossed one scoreless inning and combined with three other pitchers for a 14-0 shutout of Edward Waters (Feb. 25).
High School:Earned three letters in baseball at Gaither High School...coached by Frank Permuy...All-County and All-Conference selection...named to the All-Salindo tournament team as a junior...also played for the Cowboy Baseball American Legion, Florida Crush and Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay club teams.
