Guilliams Notes: "Bernie will definitely be an upgrade for us as far as his ability to throw. He has a very accurate arm, gets rid of the ball quickly and is very good in the dirt. He's gotten better in the fall in understanding what we want as far as calling a game. He's probably going to be a key bat for us and will probably hit somewhere in the middle of the order. He's really a complete player. When he doesn't catch, he swings the bat very well, so whether we move him somewhere defensively or he's a designated hitter, he'll be an everyday guy for us."
