Biography
2024-25 (Junior): Took silver in varsity eights and bronze in varsity fours at the FIRA Championships (March 29) to aid the Eagles in capturing a second-straight state title.
2023-24 (Sophomore): Followed up a strong freshman campaign and competed in 16 races as a sophomore...picked up a pair of medals and won four races...placed fifth out of 43 boats with the Fours at Head of the Charles (17:23.657)...Helped the Eights to a 15th place (12:17.750) out of 44 at the Head of the Schuylkill (Oct. 28)...Victory with the Eights in the dual at Rollins (March 2)...Silver medal with the Eights (6:10.39) at FIRA Championships (March 30)...won gold at FIRA in the Twos (7:05.46)...fourth place finish in the Eights (6:06.60) at the Knecht Cup (April 14)...First place with the Eights (6:21.560) at Dad Vail Regatta (May 11)
2022-23 (Freshman): Made an immediate impact by competing in a team-high 14 races…earned a gold and silver medal…won five races…started the season with a fourth place showing (16:31.843) out of 39 boats in Fours at the Head of the Charles (Oct. 23)…defeated Jacksonville (Oct. 29) in Fours…kicked off the spring by downing Rollins (Mar. 4) in a dual in Eights (5:58.3)…earned a silver medal in Fours (6:39.07) at the FIRA Championships (Apr. 1)…defended the program’s Varsity Four title at the SIRA Championships (Apr. 16), edging Texas by .110 to win with a 6:47.248…placed fourth (6:36.911) out of 27 boats in Fours at the Dad Vail Regatta (May 12).
Prep: 2021 graduate of Engineering School Železnik…Serbian national champion in the U15 8+ (2015), JMB 4- (2018), JMA 4- (2020), and the JMA 8+ (2020)…represented Serbia in Eights at the European Junior Championships and the World U23 Championships…placed 3rd in the JMB 8+ at the Balkan Rowing Championships in 2018…member of the European Youth Parliament.
Personal: Born in Belgrade, Serbia…parents are Valentina and Ivan Martinovic…majoring in Aviation Business Administration.
