2024-25 (Freshman): Captured the program’s first medal of the season at the Head of the Schuylkill (Oct. 26) with a silver in freshman eights…bested Rollins and Florida in eights and freshman/novice eights at the Rollins Invitational (March 9)…took gold in freshman/novice eights and silver in varsity eights at the FIRA Championships (March 29) to aid the Eagles in capturing a second-straight state title.
 
Prep: 2024 graduate of Bergen County Technical High School…Captain of Nereid Boat Club…grabbed multiple podium finishes including second at the 2023 Mercer Sprints Varsity 4x, fourth at the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Regionals Youth 4x, second at the 2022 USRowing Youth National Championships in U17 4x, and first in the U17 4x at the 2022 Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships.
 
Personal: Born in New York City, New York…parents are Kagan and Feyza Cengiz…majoring in aeronautics…desires to be an airline pilot.
