Biography

As A Sophomore in 2008: Provided depth to the Eagles’ midfield…played in eight matches…earned a spot among the starting 11 against Berry (Oct. 11), Northwood (Oct. 21) and Flagler (Nov. 5).

As A Freshman in 2007: Provided depth to the Eagles' midfield…competed in four matches…got his first collegiate start against Thomas (Oct. 5)…tallied two shots against Thomas, one of which was on frame.

Prep: Graduated from John Burroughs High School in Burbank, Calif. in 2000.

Personal: Born in Cabañas, El Salvador on Apr. 18, 1982...parents are Rodolfo and Linda Rivas...majoring in Homeland Security...recognized as the 2009 Homeland Security Student of the Year…named to the Dean’s List…joined the United States Army at the age of 17 and played soccer with the army at Camp Casey in South Korea...served as a squad leader for an infantry platoon in Iraq from 2004-05...volunteers his time with World War II and Vietnam veterans.
