Biography

As a Junior in 2009: Second team All-American…The Sun Conference Player of the Year…The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Year…the only field player to start in all of the Eagles’ 22 games…led the Eagles in three offensive categories, including points (45), goals (19) and game-winners (8)…set an Embry-Riddle single-season record for game-winning goals…finished the season ranked among the nation’s top 10 in game-winners (1st) and goals scored (9th)…connected on 51.5 percent of his 52 shots on goal…was a perfect 4-for-4 from the penalty spot…turned in back-to-back three-point performances with a goal and assist each against Shorter (Sept. 5) and Florida Memorial (Sept. 8)…set an ERAU single-game scoring record with 14 points against Johnson and Wales (Sept. 8)…tied the Eagles’ single-game goals record with six against Johnson and Wales…netted both goals within the final three minutes of play in the Eagles’ 2-0 NAIA National Championship Opening Round win over Mobile (Nov. 21)…scored twice against Fresno Pacific (Nov. 30) at the national tournament en route to NAIA National Championship All-Tournament team honors…played summer soccer with FC Atlanta Balckhawks who finished third in the PDL Southeast Conference…turned in a seven-goal, four-assist performance in 12 games…named to the All-Southeast Conference squad.

As a Sophomore at Appalachian State: Played in nine matches, starting in four…totaled three points on a goal and an assist…assisted on the Mountaineers game-winner against Campbell (Sept. 20)…recorded ASU’s only goal against High Point on Sept. 17.

As a Freshman at Webber International: Saw action in seven contests with six starts…amassed 14 points on seven goals…scored twice against Northwood on Sept. 1…also netted two goals against St. Thomas (Sept. 19)…named team captain.

Prep: Graduated from Helsby High School in 2006…team captain for both his district and county teams…played club soccer with the Bolton Wonderers from 2001-04 and Bury FC YTS from 2004-06…led his high school basketball team to a national championship in 2003…helped the Helsby track and field team to a runner-up finish in the English Schools competition.

Personal: Born in Chester, United Kingdom on Dec. 9, 1986…son of Stephen and Tania Maloney…majoring in Communication.
