Biography
2013-14: CROSS COUNTRY – First team All-Sun Conference performer for his fourth place finish at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 9), becoming the eighth fastest runner in Eagle history with a personal-best time of 26:14.63…best finish of the season was third place at the Asics Classic (Sept. 21) with a time of 27:24.86…was the fourth Eagle finisher in 136th place overall with a time of 26:14.63 helping the Eagles to a 16th place team finish at the NAIA National Championship (Nov. 23)…also earned NAIA Champion of Character honors, Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and Academic All-Sun Conference accolades for his performance in the classroom. INDOOR: Anchored the Eagles’ distance medley relay team that earned All-America honors by placing sixth at the NAIA National Championships (March 8) in Geneva, Ohio…put up a season best time of 4:22.56 to earn a third place finish in the mile at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational. OUTDOOR: Competed in six meets…ran a personal best 1:54.76 and finished second in the 800m run at the Embry-Riddle Spike’s Classic (April 4-5)…clocked a personal best time of 3:57.05 to earn a third place finish in the 1500m run at the FSU Seminole Invitational (April 11-12)…earned a first place finish in the 1500m at the Black and Gold Invitational (May 3)…ran in the preliminaries of the 4x800m relay at the NAIA National Championships (May22-24)…named to the Capital One Academic All-America Track & Field second team as well the Capital One Academic All-District Team.
2012-13: CROSS COUNTRY - First team All-Sun Conference runner after finishing seventh overall at The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 3) with a time of 26:39.51…became the 13th-fastest runner in program history with a 25:47.80 finish at the Sand Shark Invite (Oct. 20)…ran a 26:28.59 at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 15) to finish 39th overall…Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Conference honoree. INDOOR/ OUTDOOR: Completed an internship, and did not compete intercollegiately.
2011-12: CROSS COUNTRY - First team All-Conference performer for his fifth-place showing at The Sun Conference Championships (Nov. 5) in 27:05.74, helping the Eagles to their seventh straight conference title…finished in the top three on the team in five events during the season…best time came at the Southeast Classic (Oct. 22) in 25:52.71…placed third overall at the Asics Embry-Riddle Classic (Oct. 8) with a time of 28:32.19. INDOOR: Competed in six meets for the Blue and Gold, including two first-place event finishes…part of the winning distance medley relay team at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 14), finishing the race in 11:40.57…took home medalist honors in the mile at the ERAU Challenge (Jan. 28), setting a personal-record in 4:22.45…also posted a career-best 2:00.65 in the 800m at the same meet. OUTDOOR: Ran a personal-best of 8:55.81 in the 3000m at the USF Bulls Invitational (March 16)…earned Capital One Academic All-America second team honors.
2010-11: CROSS COUNTRY - Competed in nine meets for the Blue and Gold…was a top-six Eagle finisher in all nine meets...turned in his fastest time of the season at the Southeast Classic (Oct. 23), crossing the finish line in 26:15.55…was the fourth Eagle finisher at the Hatter Invitational (Oct. 15), racing to an eighth place overall finish in 26:28…finished 11th overall at The Sun Conference Championship (Nov. 6) in 25:58. INDOOR: Competed in five meets as a freshman…took second place in the mile (4:38.79) at the ERAU Indoor Outdoor Challenge (Jan. 22)…ran a 2:07.13 in the 800m at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational (Jan. 29)…clocked a 9:02.59 in the 3000m at the Tiger Paw Invitational (Feb. 11). OUTDOOR: Participated in six meets…placed third in the 5000m (15:21.78) and fourth in the 1500m (4:08.90) at the ERAU Spikes Classic…took seventh in the 1500m (4:06.59) at the USF Collegiate Invitational (April 1)…ran a 2:02.77 in the 800m at the BCU Beach Invitational (April 9)…finished sixth at the conference meet (April 17) in the 1500m with a 4:13.42.
PREP: 2010 graduate of New Milford High School...earned All-South West Conference, All-Region, All-New England, All-State and All-American honors...posted personal-best times of 1:59 (800m), 4:15 (1600m), 9:18 (3200m) and 16:03 (5000m).
PERSONAL: Born in New Milford, Conn. on Apr. 28, 1992...son of Lee and Janet Kraus...majoring in Aerospace Engineering.
