2024 (Senior): Selected to the CSC Academic All-District team…received the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…included on the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll…named an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete…played in all 52 games with 50 starts…posted a .475 slugging percentage thanks to a team-high 11 doubles, five triples and three home runs…also led the squad in total bases with 67…recorded 25 runs, 20 RBI and five stolen bases…in the field, she accumulated the second-most putouts in a season in program history (334)…ended the season tied for the most games played, second-most starts, second-most triples and 10th-most doubles in a year by an Eagle…ranked first in the conference in putouts and double plays turned (17) as well as tied for third in triples…ended her career ranked with the most putouts by any Eagle ever (895)…also finished inside the top 10 in the all-time program record books in triples (8, T-3rd), doubles (28, 5th), home runs (7, 5th), starts (141, 6th), games played (145, 7th), total bases (163, 7th), and RBI (56, T-10th)…tallied a season-high 13 putouts against Bridgeport (Feb. 28)…smoked a triple and a home run for two runs and four RBI in a win over Chowan (March 6)…went a perfect 4-for-4 in a series-clinching upset win over No. 25 Nova Southeastern (April 13) to become just the 10th Eagle in program history to record four or more hits in a game.
2023 (Junior): Awarded CSC Academic All-District honors…D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…recognized as an National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete…named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll…served as the primary first baseman…played in 47 games…made 45 starts, all at first base…hit .257 with 4 runs and 18 RBIs…led the squad in home runs (3)…second-most doubles on the team (8)…assisted the Eagles in breaking the team single-season stolen base program record with six steals…recorded 321 putouts, the second-most in a single season and the third-most in the SSC…ended the season with 561 career putouts, third-most all-time by an Eagle…accumulated double digit putouts on eight occasions, topped by a career-high 15 at RV Nova Southeastern (Apr. 7)…involved in 12 double plays turned, the second-most in the conference and the history of the program…scored the Eagles’ first run of the season versus Georgia Southwestern St. (Feb. 4), the first of two in that contest…brought the go-ahead run in to complete ERAU’s four-run seventh inning comeback against RV Wingate (Feb. 10)…went on a 15-game reached base streak at that point…registered a pair of hits, runs, and RBIs in a dominant 15-3 win over Le Moyne…contributed two of ERAU’s five doubles against Queens (Mar. 10) to tie to program’s single-game record.
2022 (Sophomore): Tabbed as a National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete…earned the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award…included on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll…started all 46 games for the Eagles, playing a majority of the time at first base…recorded 15 runs and 18 RBI…responsible for the second-most doubles (9) and tied for the second-most triples (2) on the team…amassed a team-best 240 putouts…also reached 23 assists…registered four multi-hit contests…helped break the team single-game record for triples in a contest (3) with her three-bagger in an 11-0 win versus Eckerd (March 26)…used two doubles to score once and plate two Eagles against Florida Tech (April 14)…had five games with double-digit putouts, including a program-record-matching 17 in a 12-inning affair with Barry (May 7)…finished with the fifth-most putouts in a single season in program history (240).
2021: Received the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award...named to SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2018-20 (at Santa Fe College): Selected to the 2018-19 Mid-Florida Conference All-Academic and FCSAA All-State Academic teams…2018-19 NJCAA First Team Academic All-American…played two seasons for the Saints…totaled 70 hits, 52 walks and 42 RBI…hit .317 with a .471 on-base percentage as a freshman and followed with a .313 batting average and .477 on-base percentage as a sophomore.
Prep: Graduated from Antonio Fernós Isern in 2018…played for the Puerto Rico Junior National Team…name Puerto Rico’s Most Outstanding Player in 2018…led her team to the Big League Softball World Series championship…named AFIHS’s Student of the Year in 2015 and Math Olympics champion in 2018…Most Outstanding Student of the Class of 2018…Honor Society from 2015-18.
Personal: Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico…parents are Tulio Ortiz and Luz Munoz…majoring in Computational Mathematics.
