Embry-Riddle Women’s Basketball alumna Lauren Ellenberger was added to the coaching staff as a graduate assistant in the 2019-20 after completing a stellar four-year career wearing the Blue and Gold.
 
A native of Granger, Indiana, Ellenberger joined the Eagle lineup in 2015-16 and made an immediate impact on the Eagle lineup, earning 24 starts as a freshman. She played a key role in the Eagles’ successful transition from NAIA to NCAA II, leading ERAU to an NCAA Division II regional appearance in the program’s first season of NCAA competition.
 
Ellenberger garnered several honors for her achievements on the court and in the classroom. She was a two-time second team All-Sunshine State Conference selection, was named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in each of her four seasons, and was a 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District selection. Ellenberger was also the two-time recipient of an ERAU Athletics Eagles of Excellence Scholarship, and in 2018-19 she was awarded the Steve & Vicky Ridder Scholarship, presented to the ERAU Athletics Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
 
Ellenberger averaged 12.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals, and finished with three double-doubles in her senior campaign. The Eagles’ all-time leader in assists (496), assists per game (4.5) and games started (110), Ellenberger ranks among ERAU's all-time top five in scoring (2nd, 1011), made threes (2nd, 181), rebounds (2nd, 523) and steals (2nd, 190), and has logged the most minutes of any women's basketball player to wear the Blue and Gold (3,477).
