Biography
2018-19 (Sophomore): Named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete...finished fourth in the Varsity 8 race in 7:03.39 at the FIRA Championships (April 6)...earned a runner-up finish in the Varsity 8+ "B" final at the SIRA Championships with a time of 7:16.47 (April 20)...took third in the Varsity 8 boat at the SSC Championships in 6:49.4 (April 26).
2017-18 (Freshman): Clocked a time of 7:27.4 in the Varsity 8 boat in a dual meet with Florida Tech (March 3)…defeated South Florida in the Varsity 8 race in a dual meet at USF in 6:49.9 (March 10)…won the Novice 4 race against Rollins in 8:10.6 at the TARS Regatta (March 14)…won the Novice 4+ race at the SIRA Championships in 7:37.46 (April 21)…placed fourth in the Varsity 8 boat at the SSC Championships in 7:27.30 (April 27).
Prep: Graduated Summa Cum Laude at Westfield High School… attended the National Schools Championship Regatta as an alternate rower in Philadelphia…member of the cross-country team.
Personal: Born in Fairfax, Virginia…daughter of John and Leslie Hemsworth… volunteered for Wreaths Across America, Cram the Van (collecting food for the homeless), and more than seven Honor Flights to greet U.S. Veterans…active in Symphony Orchestra and Civil Air Patrol…majoring in Global Conflict Studies.
