Biography
As a Junior in 2011: Came off the bench to help bolster the Eagles’ offense in 20 contests…totaled 12 points on five goals and two assists….had a 64.7 shot on goal percentage after connecting on five of her 17 attempts on frame…registered three points with a goal and an assist against Florida Memorial (Oct. 2)…scored twice in the Eagles’ 8-0 win over South Carolina Beaufort (Oct. 26)….recipient of an ERAU Champions of Character Scholarship.
As a Sophomore in 2010: Appeared in 13 contests for ERAU…tallied three points on the year…scored one goal against Ave Maria (Oct. 23)…assisted on a goal against Johnson and Wales (Oct. 15).
As a Freshman in 2009: Made four appearances with one start for the Blue and Gold.
Prep: 2008 graduate of Star of the Sea College…five-time team MVP…helped Coach Phil Durston’s high school team to five conference titles…played 13 consecutive seasons with Victoria’s largest girls’ soccer club…five-time selection to the All-State soccer team…recipient of the team’s Fair Play award…also competed in futsal (a variation of indoor soccer), springboard diving, softball, field hockey and cricket…four-time school champion in diving…captained the Australian Futsal Tour to China in 2006.
Personal: Born in Melbourne, Australia on June 7, 1990…parents are Philip Durston and Linda Ryan…earned Distinction in nationwide mathematics competition…recipient of school science and math awards…one of only two female referees in the two-year Talented Officials Program…refereed the Australian National Youth Championship for Girls in 2008…one of only two students recommended for the Global Emerging Leaders Conference...Sacred Heart Mission volunteer…majoring in Civil Engineering...earned All-Conference honors in 2011 and 2012 for her performance in the high jump as a member of Embry-Riddle’s track & field team. |
