Biography
As A Junior in 2012: Bounced back from injury to start in all 23 contests…helped anchor the Eagles’ back line as a central defender…netted the first goal of her collegiate career against South Carolina Beaufort (Oct. 21).
Redshirted in 2011
As a Sophomore in 2010: Started all 20 games on ERAU’s back line…integral part of the Blue and Gold defense that held opponents to just 19 goals over the course of the year…helped the Eagles to nine shutouts…assisted on a goal against Johnson & Wales (Oct. 15), and recorded another assist in a 9-0 win over Ave Maria (Oct. 23).
As a Freshman in 2009: Started in 19 of 20 games for ERAU…part of an Eagle defense that recorded a school record eight shutouts on the season…took three shots with one on goal.
Prep: Graduated from Williamsville East High School in 2009 where she played for Coach Kevin McNamara…first team All-ECIC selection…played club soccer for the Syracuse Surge Fury (2009), the Niagara Falls Fury (2006-09) and Buffalo United (2003-05).
Personal: Born in East Amherst, N.Y. on Aug. 16, 1991…parents are Ralph and Donna Zangara…majoring in Air Traffic Management…volunteered with the Salvation Army, children’s ministries and church summer camps…chose Embry-Riddle for its outstanding academic reputation and the opportunity to play for a high-level soccer team.
