Biography
As a Junior in 2011: The starting goalkeeper in 21 of the Eagles’ 22 games…totaled five shutouts with a 0.95 goals against average…faced 163 shots and hauled in 55 saves on the year…pulled in a season-high 17 saves against St. Thomas (Sept. 30)…recipient of The Sun Conference Champions of Character Award…The Sun Conference nominee for the NAIA’s Dr. Leroy Walker Champions of Character Award…NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete…Academic All-Conference selection…recipient of ERAU’s Steve & Vicky Ridder Scholarship…ERAU Champions of Character Scholarship recipient.
As a Sophomore in 2010: Recipient of a 2011-12 ERAU Champions of Character Scholarship…played in three games with one start…drew the start in the Eagles’ game against Brenau (Ga.) (Sept. 19), playing all 90 minutes between the pipes without allowing a goal…played the second half against Ave Maria (Oct. 23) in net, keeping a clean sheet…also saw action on the field in two games…recorded her first collegiate points with a goal and an assist against Johnson & Wales (Oct. 15.
As a Freshman in 2009: Appeared in seven games with two starts…recorded the win in a 4-3 victory over Southeastern (Oct. 22)…made seven saves against Northwood on Oct. 18 while allowing just one goal…made 14 saves on the season with a 1-1 record.
Prep: Played high school soccer for Coach Kirby Davis at Summit High School…earned four letters in soccer before graduating in 2009…three-year team captain…two-time district MVP…first team All-State selection in 2008…two-time All-City and All-Region honoree…holds the school record for single-season and career shutouts with 13 and 33, respectively…compiled a .78 goals against average and a record of 49-17-10 in her four-year career… SHS’s top female scholar-athlete in 2009…helped the Solar FC club team to the LHGCL DI title (2008), a semifinal finish at a Disney tournament in 2008 and a second place finish in the state of Texas…Solar FC was 157-59-52 during her tenure….the first student-athlete in Summit High School history to have her jersey retired (2009)…Class President in her junior and senior years…graduated in the top two percent in her class…recipient of the Jag Heart Award presented to the SHS student recognized by the entire faculty as being a top scholar, a top athlete, active in the school and the community and being a positive role model.
Personal: Born in Arlington, Texas on Oct. 16, 1990…parents are Tim and Sherri Gallant…majoring in Aeronautical Science…provided goalkeeping instruction for kids...volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and with local elementary school reading programs.
