Allison Taylor was announced as the head coach for the Eagles' women's rowing program in August 2026.
Taylor joins the Eagles after three seasons at Jacksonville University, where she served as the assistant men’s rowing coach and recruiting coordinator. Her responsibilities included directing the program’s recruiting efforts, coaching the second and third varsity boats, managing equipment operations, and working with the team’s coxswains. Before Jacksonville, Taylor spent time on the coaching staffs at Ohio State, Lafayette and Grand Valley State.
She spent six years coaching in Ohio prior to joining Jacksonville. From 2020-23, she was the head women’s coach at Olentangy Rowing Club after serving as the head rowing coach at Westerville Rowing Club from 2017-20.
During her three seasons at Grand Valley State, she coached the varsity and novice women’s program, helping guide the F/N8+ to a third-place finish at the 2016 Dad Vail Regatta.
A Westerville, Ohio, native, Taylor began her coaching career with the Ohio State University Rowing Club during the 2012-13 season before becoming an assistant coach at Lafayette College in 2013-14. She earned her degree in Exercise Science from Jacksonville University, where she was a four-year member of the rowing team and served as a team captain during the 2011-12 season. Taylor was also a four-time youth nationals qualifier with Westerville Rowing Club.
