Justin McMahan

Justin McMahan returned to the Embry-Riddle Sports Medicine team in the spring of 2024 after spending the 2022-23 as an intern with the Eagles. As an intern, he worked primarily with the softball, men's soccer, cross country and rowing programs.
 
After leaving Embry-Riddle, McMahan worked with the USSSA Pride professional softball team and PT Solutions: Tampa Bay United FC where he was responsible coverage and assisting with administration of MLS Next, USL, ECNL, ECNLR and NAL soccer programs.
 
Prior to Embry-Riddle, McMahan worked at the Florida Orthopedic Institute, aiding with post operative rehabilitation, provided patient education, and progressed rehabilitation exercises. He has also worked as an athletic trainer at Saint Leo and the University of South Florida, providing emergency assistant and helping design rehabilitation programs for various sport programs.

McMahan earned his bachelor’s degree in health sciences (2019) and his master’s degree in athletic training (2022) from the University of South Florida. He is a LAT and ATC certified and holds certifications in Adult Mental Health First Aid, Heart Saver First Aid and Basic Life Support for CPR and AED.
