Maloney started all 22 games for the Blue and Gold and led the team in three offensive categories, including points (45), goals (19) and game-winners (8). He set an Embry-Riddle single-season record for game-winning goals and finished the 2009 season ranked among the nation’s top 10 in game-winners (1st) and goals scored (9th). His success on the playing field earned him many accolades. Maloney was named The Sun Conference Player of the Year, The Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a second team All-American. He also helped the Eagles reach the Elite Eight and was named to the NAIA National Championship All-Tournament team. In 2010 Maloney started in all 16 matches for the Eagles and also made his second appearance on the All-Conference team. For the second straight year, Maloney was the Eagles’ leader in goals scored, finishing the season with 20. He moved into second on the Eagles' single-season goals list and third in single-season points with 45.  Maloney closed out his two-year career with ERAU among the Eagles' all-time top 10 in points (8th, 90), goals (5th, 39) and game-winning goals (3rd, 12).
