HARDEEVILLE, S.C. ? On Oct. 30, the Embry-Riddle men's soccer team made the trip to Babson Park to take on Webber International for a chance to be one of four teams in the regional tournament. A loss and the Eagles would fall to fifth place in the Florida Sun Conference and be unable to play in the postseason for the first time since 1998. A win and the Eagles had a shot a winning their fifth straight league crown. The Blue and Gold went on the win that match and the league title, and on Saturday night, the Eagles defeated regional tournament host Savannah College of Art and Design 1-0 to capture their fourth NAIA Region XIV title in the last five years.
Saturday's contest between No. 1 ERAU and No. 2 SCAD was a defensive battle with the Bees putting up just nine shots, two of which were on frame, and the Eagles taking eight shots, including four on goal.
The Eagles finally broke the scoreless tie in the 85th minute.

AJ Barrett collected the rebound with one touch and tucked in his sixth goal of the season to lift the Eagles to victory.
With the win, the Eagles, ranked 23rd in the latest NAIA national poll, earn an automatic berth to the NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship in Olathe, Kan., Nov. 14-20.
