WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Cory McJimson scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebound and frontcourt mate Marvin Owens added 20 points to lead Northwood (Fla.) University to a 79-70 victory against No. 21 Embry-Riddle University in Florida Sun Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Northwood (19-6 overall), now in sole possession of third in the FSC at 5-3, shot 57.1 percent from the field on the game and 63.3 in the second half outscoring Embry-Riddle (19-7, 4-4) 49-40 after battling to a 30-30 tie at the intermission.

McJimson and Owens were two of the major reasons for the Seahawks efficiency in the game shooting 10-for-15 and 8-for-10, respectively.

Aside from the first two years of the program when ERAU was a combined 4-45, it marked just the third time the Eagles have lost four consecutive games (1994-95 they dropped five; 2003-04 lost four) and first time they have lost four straight conference games.

Tyler DeBord led the Eagles with 20 points, while Ryan Exter added 15 points, six assists and five steals.

ERAU will look to snap the skid when they host Webber International at DBCC'S Lemerand Center on Tuesday, February 6th at 7 p.m.
